The plaintiff commenced proceedings in Whiting v Whiting & Anor [2014] QSC 187 describing himself as “his Royal Highness, King of the Whiting Kingdom, Baron of the Whiting Region, King Steven 1 ATF Steven James Whiting”. His claim was brought against his former wife and her lawyers, which he described as “Compensation for damages caused by the actions of the defendants. Specifically restoration of my children to my care immediately.” Whiting demanded a jury trial, criminal investigation and prosecution of his wife and the Federal Circuit Court, damages payable in 28,736 troy ounces of gold, full allodial title to his estate, and that “The queen to remedy or abdicate as per coronation oath of her office.”. This he said, was his “last peaceful avenue, before declaration of war.” The court granted the defendants motion to have the action struck as vexatious and an abuse of the courts.
